Research & script
Each film ships with a script-and-sources file: short spoken sentences, one point per sentence.
Planet of Questions is our Mandarin science series on the DOVER Labs YouTube channel. Each film answers one concrete question: we fact-check and script it, animate it in code, voice it with AI, then cut the score and mix — all in a single pipeline.

The challenge挑戰
Every line of narration needs a verifiable source; if we can't find one, we don't say it.
Visuals must appear the instant a key word is spoken; matching that frame by frame in a traditional edit takes hours.
Change one line of script and the voice, subtitles and timeline must follow without starting over.
What we built做法
Each film ships with a script-and-sources file: short spoken sentences, one point per sentence.
Edit the script and the voice-over, timeline and subtitles regenerate; thanks to caching, only changed sentences are billed again.
Animation written in Remotion; sync cues live in the script, so the picture follows the narration word by word.
We read the AI-generated score's dynamics and key to find edit points, then master to YouTube loudness.
The question mark's hook is a comet tail and its dot a ringed planet; a 3.6-second intro and 12-second outro run across the series.
