Shot triage & edit list
Footage sorted into hero car, transitions and rejects; a script builds the edit list, 32 segments cut to 105 seconds.
A concept film we made ourselves — not commissioned by Tesla. On a typhoon night in Kaohsiung a sports car is hunted by a drone swarm: it bursts out of a warehouse, flies over the Love River, drifts past the light rail and finally lifts off by the harbour. The shots are AI-generated; we directed, storyboarded, edited and designed the sound and titles so that thirty-odd shots read as one car on one night.
The brand appears for concept purposes only; this film is not affiliated with or commissioned by Tesla.
The challenge挑戰
Every AI shot draws the car a little differently; frames where it turns into another car have to be found and cut.
Fake Chinese characters on signs and stray cars that wander in have to be caught frame by frame.
Cuts have to land on the music, and voice, sound and titles need commercial polish.
What we built做法
Footage sorted into hero car, transitions and rejects; a script builds the edit list, 32 segments cut to 105 seconds.
Hero-car shots are stretched with optical-flow interpolation, giving the door burst, drifts and jumps more weight.
Where footage was missing we drew a start frame with AI, then generated the new shot from it.
The drones' radio calls are AI voices — for example “Visual lost. Switching to thermal.”
Decoding type, bracket pops, scan lines and glitch exits, rendered frame by frame.
Mastered to the −14 LUFS streaming platforms use, with every cut checked against the music's beats.
